Arts Program

The Arts Program supports the Foundation’s mission by teaching people of all ages the beauty and importance of our native flora and landscape through exhibitions, art classes, lectures, and special events.

Three exhibitions each year in the Theodore Payne Gallery and our annual Artist-in-Residence program support and display the work of fine artists ‘contemporary, modern and historical’ whose creations were influenced by the California flora, landscape, and natural history.

In addition, our all-volunteer Arts Council produces occasional public talks and classes, as well as prints and note cards based on the Foundation’s permanent art collection. A percentage of the proceeds for all activities benefit the Foundation. Arts Council membership is open to anyone interested in art, nature and the Foundation.
