Artist-in-Residence
In spring 2008, the Foundation initiated its Artist-in-Residence Program to foster new ways of viewing our beautiful native flora and engage local artists with native plants in dedicated, focused projects.
Each Artist-in-Residence is invited to explore the native plant environment, including TPF nursery and grounds, and produce a body of work inspired by nature. This work is exhibited in a fall exhibition in the Theodore Payne Gallery. During their residency, each artist also teaches one or more art classes at the Foundation.
